Oil on Canvas. 12x24 Plein air.
The Rapids is a rural restaurant and bar situated on the Westfield River, at the intersection of Route 112 and Route 66, in Huntington. A couple of generations ago it was known as a "Road House." One can just imagine a summer's day in the 1920's....city folks out for a drive in their new Model T, stopping for happy hour.
This image is cast a lot bluer than the actual painting.
